A guest researcher at the Center for Catastrophic Risk Management at UC Berkeley

The Forum Securitatis student Tove Frykmer, Lund University, will during October 2016 to March 2017 be a guest researcher at the Center for Catastrophic Risk Management at UC Berkeley. (http://ccrm.berkeley.edu/). Her research concerns how collectives of people or organisations solve problems during crisis. In Sweden, she is working in a project called “Adaptive command & control and collaboration within the Swedish crisis management”, together with FOI and FHS. The purpose of the project is to study how command & control and collaboration can work in accidents and crises of both today and tomorrow. Forum Securitatis will support the stay with mobility funding.

We wish her a pleasant and inspiring stay “over there”.

The EU project SUBCOP originated in the attacks on the London Underground system where several explosives detonated. In late May, the result was demonstrated at Centre for Teaching and Research in Disaster Medicine and Traumatology in Linköping. Link to features in the Swedish media (in Swedish):
